September 1st, is a crucial date when you’re a Belgian youngster as school restarts after a 2 month long summer recess.
Study is very important, after 35 years of BBT and over 250 years combined years of Volkswagen parts experience we still  learn every day.

Thing lovers beware!

Thing, Kubel, Trekker and many other for as many countries nicknamed the Volkswagen Type 181.
Initially made as a light army vehicle in Germany turned into a production of a 100% leisure vehicle in Mexico.

Distributed all over the world, one country more than  another, we find Things in the most unexpected places, the demand for parts along.
Of course many mechanical parts are shared with other Volkswagen derivates but body wise most parts are unique.

We started up production of several 181 parts and like to present some fresh harvest.
Front windshield for a 181 or THING is the same than a Volkswagen ILTIS and we make a longer time already HERE

After too much demand for an affordable front window seal along we searched for solutions.
After a long time of searching we finally could tool up from an absolute NOS sample and make these rubbers available now.

Same time we made the rubbers between the front window frame and the body used also between the front window frame and the roof.
We deliver these rubbers in a correct length of 1450mm.

More rubber parts for your beloved Type 181 are expected to dock soon, stay tuned.

Bend, misformed, dirty or simply missing, many bay windows need new bows when installing a headliner.

We add this week also this 12Volts 40A relay.

This relay was originally introduced as the relay for the dual horns for Karmann Ghia models in 1966.
From there it was used for optional front fog lights on almost all Volkswagen models in the early seventies.

Also T25/T3/Vanagon use this relay for numerous accessories.
Besides the original applications it’s a very universal relay that can be used for numerous applications.
Accessory driving or fog lights, horns, pumps or ventilators will happily switch with this relay.

Do you tow yet?
