Road trip continues, starting the way back….

so Sunday morning we unloaded the split and loaded the new piece a candy to take home… what a story!

a sunny Sunday morning, a perfect timing to take the BBT Spain team in all three generations, may I present you my very best buddy’s, these are the guys that keep the aircooled crew in Spain rollin’…. ladyies an gentlemen, here’s Jan, Steve and Luca!

But what’s on the trailer now?

SP2’s been made in Brazil, as German marketeers thought it might have been way too much competitive against the VW Porsche 914 they never been officialy imported into Europe… except into the Spanish Islands, Tenerife, Gran Canarias and the like. For one reason or another they had straight connections with VW do Brazil. So this is a real European SP2! and yes this car will be for sale in Belgium from Wednesday on…. to me, personally, the SP2 is one of the finest designs VW ever made and that’s final….

Loaded and ready to go….

just nice from every angle, a perfect late sixties designer study, a child of its time, think Miura, think straight low lines, the new generation of sports cars was born, and clearly VW of Brazil designers took their lesson well! so nice from every angle!

So we are all ready to go home? NO! my name shouldn’t be Bob to do some things “on the side” while I’m overhere anyway…:)

Let’s drive a little more south, to a little place call “Bullas” its not so far from “Caravaca” deep south inland Spain…. ready to leave?

so on the raod again, 140 km down South for a small VW show, always fun to meet and greet the locals……

cool to see Vw’s cruisin’ on the inland Spanish roads…;

as always Spanish people know how to trow a party!

 Chocolata….. njammie….

 oh yes, show your colors, even deep in Spain….

 a car sold by BBT Spain a couple of moons ago….

 so lunchtime came and went and it was time to say goodbye, some serious driving ahead of me, and I want to reach the border with France tonight… always have the impressions hotel parking lots been better protected in France as Spain….

driving inland Spain has a lot in common like driving in the USA…. Spain is definitely not over populated…..:)

 il Torro, these typical sixties and seventies road signs been all restored now to former glory, they’re huge,  should take one home one day….lol!

 How could I know what bad weather was ahead of me…. stay tuned…..
