Do we make new cars?

well… almost… our metal genius works hard to get the Pre A convertible project done… 1200 hours of labour on the way the ends is visible but still far a way…

yes all panels are new, handmade, by BBT’s Edwin, the king of metal shaping… hey Gerry what you’re looking at?

  1. Wow it´s so interesting and detailed metal shaping job! but what about replicas? I mean, does it realy have a historic value? I know that hand-made job it´s invaluable and only professionals and really apassionated-work peoples can made it.

I love PGO´s SpeedsterII or Cevennes design, they look fantastic! but in my opinion those cars doesn´t have the glamour, doesn´t have the magic´s volkswagen sound like of originals Porshe´s Speedster of late 50´s or early 60´s.

Well its my comment, but you have done an excelen job Mr. Edwin, the king of metal shaping.

You know what? I think Gerry is gay! he´s thinkin´ -mmmhhhh Edwin you have a nice but!!! (jajajajajjaja)

    Regards.

  2. haha I didn’t knew this picture was taken… I think I was looking at the perfect fit of the fender 😉

  3. Thanks for your comment JC, however I must say this is NOT a replica, its a restauration from a very poor restored car in the seventies. The car is an all original 1954 Pre A convertible, not a speedster, by some people reconised as the last NON horngrillcar… the value of these car is quiet a bit when finished therefor we feel such an expansive resto is justified….

replica’s are not really my piece of cake altough we have many between between our customers what we fully appreciate… the only thing I never understood while in the early Eighties somebody wanted to spend more money on a Apal Speedster as on a real speedster in California as at that point they still didn’t catch such high values overthere… well I guess thats life… only if I was born earlier…:)

and Gerry, well he will read your comment and think his…Hihihi…

    keep the faith

    bob
