  1. Nice trip !
Felts your VW sign on your bus …
Someone stole the VW sign on your Bus ?

  2. Hi Kevin

no the sign was loose and so we took off and stored in the sparewheel to avoid to loose it…

    but thanks for mentioning it…

  3. Wow, Bob, at last I’ve found someone who loves the Dolomites as much as my wife and I did when we drove out 1967 split window VW bus through there that same year. I found them more spectacular than the Swiss Alps on the other side of the border.

You might be interested in the book I wrote about that long, long 12,000 mile road trip, “Letters to Zerky, a Father’s Legacy to a Lost Son and a Road Trip Around the World.” If so, you can learn more about it on my website. And good luck on your journey, fellow traveler.

  4. Hi Bill

nice of You to check in!
Yes I know now for a couple of years the Dolomiti are extreme beautiful, but I guess you would be dissapointed when You would go back today, as last 48 years didn’t do that good, and also i Dolimiti do have a lot of modern stuff around, but still it was a really nice trek…
Traveling a splittie these days is also a little more adventourous like back in the day, a smodern traffic many times don’t understand why you’re “dslow” uphill”, but as always I did enjoy every single minute…or make that second of it

very impressive website! very nice tales… zerky must be proud of You… I can only advice your book to everybody i do know!
    talk soon
    Bob
