This is a so-called 1958 “Expo” model, 1958 we had the world fair in Brussels what’s known as “Expo 58” very important event for our country and the birth year for the worldwide famous “Atomium” what was built as purpose for the world fair…. a 1958 Expo tax holder for the front windshield can still be found in the glove box compartment….
This is a stunning original car… some battle scarves, but sooooo original!
Dealer sticker still on right rear fender, and the B…is for Belgium off course!
Taillights been changed back to original, nicely like it should…. all glass is still the original, proudly stamped with the original “Jemeppe” logo like it should… it’s not very easy to find cars from this heritage with their original windshield still in place!
Inside it only gets better, nice original interior in original upholstery materials, exactly like it came from the factory… speedo shows 91.000 original kilometers, the entire car is telling You the real story!
Original ragtop, outside cover was replaced once (original still in front trunk) headliner is still original and in very decent condition!
oh, look behind the rear seats, do You see the original accessory fitted luggage peeping? Its included in the sale!
The body of the car is real good, over the years some light welding was done on the underside of the heater channels and the rear bumper brackets, but all the rest is rock and rock solid, as You can see in the spare wheel well here… All original paint indeed! No camouflage!
How You like this look, not bad for a 58-year-old uh?
Matching numbers engine runs like a train…130km/hr on the Belgian freeway is a real piece of cake for this power plant, tested and approved by yours truly!
Both original semaphores in good working condition, no reproduction stuff here! all original, and original from the car!
If we have to describe our feelings now we could say we’re “delighted” we can offer such a nice piece of automobilia with Belgian roots to the general public… we don’t think this car will last long time as we really priced it real well, and there will be only one happy new owner! Sold on first come first serve base!
