Our long time friend, motivator and inspirator Lyle Cherry, has found finally some rewarding for all he did to VW industry in the latest Hot VW’s. Editor Dean Kirsten took no less as three trips to Texas to finish up the whole story… actually somebody should write a book about Lyle, a guy so important to VW performance like very few others perhaps…

Off course Lyle signed my personal copy! What a picture with my heroe! for sure one of the highlights in my VW life!
and also a picture from “the King of VW competition” behind his very first lathe. On the side, this is the one he pulled home behind his Beetle, over the street off course, or as he said; “Davis Blvd wasn’t that busy yet”…. we talk in the year 1964….. 🙂
