Last week on my trip trough France I stopped for a night at my Pre A buddy Damien and his lovely wife Delphine, being in the Bourgogne region Damien invited us for a lovely dinner, and showed us around his garage, a lot of enemal signs, a fantastic Dinky Toys collection (even his dog calls Dinky) and a couple of very lovely cars….
Thanks Damien for letting us stay, and thanks especially to maman for the superb breakfast….
After solving our customs problem in Brazil we had no less then 3 (three!!) full containers from Brazil last week coming in at once… Goods in department is about to explode! This is what I found this morning when I switched on the light…. last week left overs are probably enough to unpack for another week…
Today was kind a cool, we received our first sample from the brand new 181 or Thing gascap, locking of course, as market dried up many moons ago we thought this was the perfect timing… the first sample we do not approve as it’s missing a perfect fit, so we have to chase the producer a little more…. DHL will be another time the first company making money on these fly the samples back and forth…:)
We bring You all the BBT news…. on the spot… your award to follow the BBT Blogspot! Thank You….
This is how Thing gascaps look…. any comment or suggestions anybody? It’s about the right timing now, we still can change a lot…
Friday the truck came to pick up the 1945 Kubelwagen and bring it to his new home base in Dublin Ireland, there it will be reunited with the 1943 Kubelwagen it was sitting in the same garage with since the early sixties… We like to congratulate Mr James expressively with his new toy.
Big truck and trailer for little Kubelwagen, don’t You think?
